Sound Level

Sound LevelThe SOUND LEVEL Tool will track the level of sound in a classroom as Acceptable or Excessive.

This tool must be used with the Interval Reminder to be effective. Set the Interval from 60 to 300 seconds (1 to 5 minutes); at each interval record the level of the sound according to where the sound is originating. Gather data for a minimum of 20 minutes.

Record the criteria being used to identify the sound level as Excessive, e.g. not able to hear instruction clearly.

This data will provide insight into the effectiveness of the instructional atmosphere of the classroom.
